The deadline to submit this application is July 31, 2026 (5:00 p.m. ET).
Instructions
Please share information about your Local Government so that we may better understand your level of experience and capacity. The goal of the READY Local Governments program is to train Appalachian municipal staff and/or elected officials (using an entirely virtual, cohort-based learning format) in federal grant application and management principles for the purpose of strengthening infrastructure, business and workforce development, and other long-term solutions to grow the region’s economy. Local government entities that successfully complete the requirements of the training program will be eligible to apply for a separate grant of up to $50,000 from ARC to address internal capacity needs of the applying entity.
Navigating the Application: Once you begin the application, you will be able to navigate backwards and forwards through the questions using the “Back” and “Next” navigational buttons at the bottom of each page.
Save Progress: You will be able to save your work and continue at a later time by clicking the “Save Progress” button at the top of each page. When returning to the Submitter Portal, click on the "My Submission" icon on the left-hand side of the page and then the "Edit" button on the right. If you log out of the portal, you must log back in using your user name and password. Editing is no longer possible once an application has been signed and submitted.

The PDF application linked below is only to be used as a resource. Applications must be completed and submitted within this portal. Faxed, mailed, or emailed applications will not be accepted.
The application must be completed prior to the deadline of July 31, 2026 (5:00 p.m. ET) for the application to be considered. All fields with an asterisk (*) are required, and incomplete applications will not be accepted. Only one application per Local Government may be submitted. Submitted applications are considered final.
