Description
The Elevator Pitch Competition at Roanoke College, presented by Leaders in Innovative Thought, grants all students the opportunity to pitch their novel ideas to a panel of judges, with winners taking home cash prizes in two categories – Commercial and Social. The competition is open to students from all majors. The elevator pitch is a frequently used term, meaning “tell me about your new idea in the time it takse to ride up an elevator.” Crafting an effective Elevator Pitch teaches students to communicate effectively and allows their charisma and positive characteristics to shine through. Ideas may be at any stage of development from creation of concepts or ideas to an established or existing company.
