Description
The John Garrison Scholarship & Chester Servance Vocational Scholarship honor the legacy, dedication, and commitment exemplified by two longtime members of the Shell FCU Board of Directors. These scholarships support students as they pursue their educational and career goals at accredited colleges, universities, and vocational or technical schools.
John Garrison was a dedicated member of the Shell FCU Board of Directors, serving as a volunteer for more than 50 years. His vision, leadership, and commitment to volunteer service left a lasting impact on Shell FCU and the members we serve.
Chester Servance served on the Shell FCU Board of Directors for 33 years and was deeply committed to the credit union’s mission and service to our members. During his career at Shell Refinery, Chester worked as a boilermaker and process operator and later helped train and develop others. His dedication to the skilled trades and helping others succeed makes his legacy especially meaningful to the vocational scholarship that bears his name.
Through these scholarships, we are proud to honor John and Chester’s lasting contributions and encourage recipients to carry their spirit of service, perseverance, and dedication forward into their education, careers, and communities.
