To qualify for a Mutual Credit Union Charitable Foundation Scholarship, you must:
• Be a PRIMARY member of Mutual Credit Union (not a joint owner) in good standing.
• Be a graduating high school senior enrolling at an accredited two-year or four-year college or vocational/technical school during the 2024-2025 academic year.
• Have a minimum (2.5) cumulative grade point average for high school and any college courses completed.
• Not be an employee of Mutual Credit Union, board member, or other volunteer committee or their immediate family member (sister, brother, son or daughter).
• Submit a completed application packet no later than Close of Business on April 1, 2024.
Official Rules/Guidelines
No entry fee is required.
This is not a lottery. This scholarship contest is void where prohibited or restricted by any law or ordinance.
Essays must be less than 1,000 words in length and written in English.
Do NOT include any identifying information on the essay so that essays may be judged anonymously.
Only one essay may be submitted per person.
Submissions must be original work and may not be based, in whole or in part, on any previously published or any third party copyrighted material.
Any essay not within these guidelines will render the applicant ineligible for the scholarship.
The winners will be notified in May.
Acceptance of a scholarship shall constitute permission for Mutual Credit Union to use the winners’ names and likeness for purposes of advertising, promotion and publicity without additional compensation.
All applicable taxes are the responsibility of the winners.
The winning essays may be published on the Mutual Credit Union website and social media sites.
The winner will provide a copy of the acceptance letter before funds can be disbursed. All entries shall become the property of Mutual Credit Union and cannot be returned.
