We are excited to announce the opportunity for all district staff to apply for our Professional Learning Grant! This grant is designed to support the continued professional development of our educators and staff, enabling them to expand their skills, improve instructional practices, and enhance the overall learning experience for our students.

Who is Eligible:
This grant is open to all teachers, administrators, and support staff within the district who are committed to improving their practice and contributing to the success of our school community.

Grant Purpose:
The Professional Learning Grant aims to fund educational opportunities such as workshops, conferences, courses, certifications, or other professional development activities that align with district goals and contribute to your personal and professional growth. It also provides funding for campus principals or administration to bring in dynamic speakers or programs that will positively impact the school climate.

Deadline for Application:
Please submit your application by Monday, March 10, 2025 by 11:59 pm.

Late submissions will not be considered.

We encourage you to explore various opportunities and apply for funding to further your professional growth. This is an excellent way to take your skills to the next level, and we are proud to support your efforts in enhancing student learning.

Complete all sections of the application. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Signatures Pages: Obtain approval of all principals or head of departments involved by downloading the signature within the application. If more than one campus is impacted, it is the responsibility of each team member to get signatures of their campus principal or department head. Signature pages must be uploaded with your application submission. A paper copy does not need to be submitted to the foundation. Please keep that for your records.

Budget Forms: The budget worksheet must be uploaded in Excel format.

Awards: There is no maximum amount restriction for awarded funds.

School: There should be NO mention of school name, mascot or reference to the campus allowed within the essays. Section 1 is the only section where any identifying information should be used.

Funding: Salaries, substitutes and technology items provided by the District will not be funded.

**IMPORTANT: Awarded funds with conference dates prior to August 31, 2025 will expire on August 31, 2025. The campus will be responsible for payment if the travel documents are not submitted in a timely manner.  Grant funds do not carry over and are subject to KISD regulations.**

Grant Criteria: The training program must support district and Foundation goals and impact a large number of students and teachers.

Procedures: KISD Administrative Travel Procedures and Forms V-B and V-C must be followed. RFPLTF must be submitted at least two weeks prior to travel.

Other guidelines:

Only one (1) Professional Learning grant application per applicant per grant cycle allowed.

Grant Coordinator acknowledges an evaluation form must be completed within one calendar year from receiving funds to be eligible to apply for future grant funding.

If an individual grant winner or a member of a winning team grant relocates to a different school within Killeen ISD, or is no longer with the district at the time of the training, employee substitutions can be made. Personnel changes are at the discretion of the campus principals/department leaders.

Increases in funding cannot be provided after the award is made.
