The Support Education Foundation is proud to provide scholarships to students and professional development awards to educators who strive to learn and grow. Applications can be submitted between February 1, 2026, and March 15, 2026. Winners will be announced in July 2026, and the scholarship money is paid directly to the school the student will attend in the fall.

We offer the following scholarships and award opportunities:
- Dorothy Marvil Scholarship: $2,500 award for high school seniors who plan on attending a four-year university, community college, technical college or trade school.
- Rosemary Brinkley Business and Finance Scholarship: $2,500 award for graduating high school seniors who have completed the Business and Finance curriculum at their school and plan on pursuing a career in business, finance or a related field.
- Community College Scholarship: $2,500 award for students currently enrolled at one of the community colleges we serve and who plan on returning for the following academic year.
- Eva Chesley Scholarship: $5,000 award for students currently enrolled at a four-year college or university and pursuing a degree in education.
- Vocational Education Scholarship (Graduating High School Senior): $1,500 award to a student attending a Vocational School who is pursuing career-focused education through vocational training.
- Vocational Education Scholarship (Second Year Vocational/Apprenticeship Student): $1,500 award for students currently enrolled in the second year of an accredit vocational or career apprenticeship program.
- Support Education College Scholarship: $2,500 award for students with demonstrated financial need currently enrolled at a college in Maryland or Howard University and are returning for the following academic year.
- Maurice Erly Professional Development Award: $1,000 award for educators, administrators or support staff be used towards continuing education fees, such as workshop registrations, certification fees and tuition.
- National Board Certification Award: $500 award for Maryland educators to help cover material, mentoring, coaching and workshop costs.
