The Blue & Gold Society
The Blue & Gold Society Ambassadors are a volunteer group within the Pitt Alumni Association. Blue & Gold Society is a dynamic group of student ambassadors committed to bridging the gap between students and the Pitt Alumni Association (PAA). As student leaders, we actively collaborate with the PAA and the broader campus community, contributing to preserving traditions, providing valuable student perspectives, and nurturing connections with alumni.
Becoming a member of BGS offers numerous benefits, including professional development opportunities, networking with alumni, and highlighting one’s Pitt Pride. As a Blue and Gold Ambassador, you work with one of the most central and involved groups on campus. The Pitt Alumni Association is an integral part of the University as it has a unique purpose of engaging alumni and supporting University goals. This ambassadorship can significantly enhance students’ leadership skills and expand their networks, thereby improving their future career prospects.
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
ELIGIBILITY
- Must have a minimum of a 2.5 GPA or higher
- Must be a PASN Member. Join here.
- Must be a Full-Time Student
- Complete the Student Conduct Form

REQUIREMENTS
ATTEND AN INFORMATION SESSION (Required)
- Register for an Information Session
- Every applicant must attend ONE of the following information sessions:
- Monday, September 14th
- Tuesday, September 15th
- Wednesday, September 16th
- Friday, September 18th (Virtual, Zoom at 5pm)
All information sessions will be held in Alumni Hall from 9:00-10:00pm, besides the virtual session.
VOLUNTEER AT A HOMECOMING EVENT (Required)
Homecoming week runs September 20-27. Sign up for and complete at least one shift:
FOLLOW BLUE AND GOLD SOCIETY ON TIKTOK AND INSTAGRAM (Required)
- Stay up to date on announcements, event details, and reminders throughout the process.

ATTEND RECRUITMENT WEEK
- Monday, September 28th: Icees & Icebreakers
- Wednesday, September 30th: Attend I LOVE PITT Day

- Friday, October 2nd: Meet the BGS
