2027 PCMA Board positions and terms

  • Chair-Elect (1 position available, 1-year term)
  • Secretary-Treasurer (1 position available; 1-year term)
  • Director/Trustee (up to 9 positions available; 2-year term)

Rules

  • Access:
    • New Candidates: CREATE a new user account to begin a new application.
    • Returning Candidates: LOG IN to continue an existing application or begin a new application as a returning candidate. 
    • Note: This platform is separate from pcma.org and not linked to your PCMA membership account. You may use your professional or personal email address.
  • Eligibility: 
    • Open to PCMA members and non-members.
    • To be appointed to the Board, applicants must be registered PCMA members at the time of their potential appointment.
    • For Officer positions or a second term as a Director/Trustee, applicants must be a PCMA Business Event Organizer/Strategist, Corporate Event Marketer or Business Event Supplier/Partner member and have previously served on the PCMA Board of Directors or the PCMA Foundation Board of Trustees.
  • Application Requirements: Nominees must fully complete all requested sections of the application, including submitting a resume, providing references, and answering short-answer questions. All materials must be submitted before the application deadline (Friday July 24, 5:00 pm Chicago time).
  • Conflict of Interest Policy: Candidates currently serving in a leadership role or employed by an organization related to, competitive with, or overlapping with the mission of PCMA, including, but not limited to, membership-based organizations targeting event professionals, may be disqualified from consideration. If this applies to you, we encourage you to apply once your current role has concluded.
  • Board Service Commitment: Board members are expected to attend quarterly Board meetings, participate in committee and governance activities, and assume responsibility for related travel expenses. Applicants will be asked to acknowledge these commitments before submitting their application.
