2024 Mini Grants - November

Who can apply?
All PfISD staff quality for this grant and can submit more than one grant application.


What is the purpose of this grant?

  • To enhance, promote, and augment classroom instruction in areas not routinely allocated in regular budgetary funds or not eligible for reimbursement from other sources. 
  • This grant is NOT available for personal cost, technology, or travel expenses.


When does this opportunity take place?

  • Three grant cycles will take place this semester, one each for September, October, and November.  Up to $8,000 will be given away each cycle, with up to $2,000 awarded for each grant.
  • Applications are accepted once the website goes live at the beginning of each month and are due the last day of each month.
  • Winners will be celebrated during a Surprize Patrol around the middle of the next month.  You've likely seen us at your campus - we're not a quite bunch!

How are the winners chosen?

Grants are reviewed by a group of community supports that rate the applications based on the following rubric:

  1. The degree to which the grant aligns with one of the following PEF priority areas: curricula, classroom manipulatives, social emotional support/focus, or class structure and resources for effective time management and organization.
  2. The degree to which the grant addresses an area of need substantiated by data.
  3. The degree to which the grant emphasizes student academic performance or enhances social emotional intelligence.
  4. The degree to which the grant creates value through annual reuse.
  5. The degree to which the grant promotes lessons that can be shared with other educators.
  6. The degree to which the grant address how campus and district funding sources have been exhausted.
