Many times, scholarships require a certain GPA or athletic ability, which eliminate students who have had additional circumstances, such as parents who divorce, sick relatives, nistakes, or other outside factors.  This precents the student from being able to reach a certain GPA or academic resume needed for the majority of scholarships.

Michelle Provan, PfISD alumna from 2005, has partnered with Pflugerville ISD and the Pflugerville Education Foundation to create a different type of scholarship.  This scholarship rewards a student who has made outstanding change during hig school and who has preserved through adversity.  They derserve to be recognized, and the Provan-Lockhart Scholarship will give them that opportunity.
