ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for Youth LEAD Georgia 2026, a student must be in 10th or 11th grade in the 2025-2026 school year in the state of Georgia. Interested youth must be nominated by an adult and complete an application to be considered for the program. A limited number of students will be chosen by a selection committee based on review of the applications.
PARTICIPANT RESPONSIBILITIES
If selected, Youth LEAD Georgia participants must commit to:
- Attending all program sessions in 2026 (including the bus tour) as follows:
- Jan. 24-25th
- March 15-16th
- June 2-5th | Statewide Bus Tour
- Sept. 13-14th
- Nov. 8-9th
- Fully participating in each experience.
- Following UGA's and the Program's Code of Conduct and Behavior Guidelines.
- Communicating with program leaders in a timely manner and completing any and all requested paperwork and feedback.
* Note: In the event a participant must miss a session due to health or other emergency, excused absences will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
COST
For those chosen to participate, the program is being offered free-of-charge thanks to the generous support of the Chick-Fil-A. Participants are responsible for transportation to and from each session.
