Description

Research in Reach: NCA Graduate Student Pitch Competition

Submission Deadline: Friday, August 7, 2026, @ 11:59 p.m. PST

The Research in Research (RinR) Graduate Student Pitch Competition, a new annual National Communication Association (NCA) convention event, invites master's and doctoral communication students to showcase their research in a dynamic, engaging, and accessible format. Inspired by the internationally recognized Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) competition, this event challenges students to clearly, confidently, and persuasively communicate the significance and impact of their research to a lay audience in just a few minutes. RinR is a professional development experience that helps graduate students in communication build the competencies essential for success in academia, industry, government, nonprofit organizations, community development, and civic engagement.
